Relevance of EnEV:

The Energy Saving Ordinance (EnEV) makes binding requirements to be complied with referring to the energy standard of new and remodeled buildings. The goal is to significantly reduce the building energy demand area-wide. All measures that help avoiding energy loss make a contribution.

CO2 - the greenhouse gas:

Carbon dioxide is a non-toxic, colorless and odorless gas that is produced during the combustion process and is responsible for the greenhouse effect and the climate changes. By preventing heat loss, less energy is required to generate heat, thus reducing CO2 emissions.

Thermal conductivity and thermal WLG:

The indicator for the thermal performance of a building material is expressed in W / (mK). Often this feature is shown in the so-called thermal conductivity rate (WLG). The lower this value, the better the heat insulation characteristics.

Interior/Exterior Insulation::

Interior insulation always make sense where an insulation of the façade is not possible (for example monument protection, rented flats). Here you can already achieve an effective level of insulation with low insulation thicknesses and manageable costs.
